~$ whoami: I'm Ricky "Rykros" Runyon, and I'm passionate about harnessing technology to create impactful web experiences. Currently focused on web design and development, I am also advancing my studies in full-stack engineering to deepen my technical expertise. My journey into this field is driven by a love for crafting innovative solutions that blend creativity with functionality.
As I transition from my role as a BMW automotive technician, where I honed my problem-solving skills and attention to detail, I am eager to apply these skills to the world of software development. My interests extend beyond coding; I have a deep appreciation for the original Phantasy Star series and the vibrant worlds of anime and video games. These passions fuel my creativity and inspire the projects I undertake.
I'm excited to connect with like-minded individuals and explore opportunities that align with my vision for the future. Whether you're interested in collaboration, seeking a dedicated developer, or just want to chat about technology and gaming, I'm here to engage and inspire!
TOOLS > Software + Skills
In my web design and development journey, I leverage a variety of software tools and skills to bring my projects to life. I use Debian with the GNOME desktop to create a robust and versatile development environment, utilizing Visual Studio Code for coding in HTML, CSS, and now Python. Recently, I completed a project based on Phantasy Star I using tkinter and am currently working on a Phantasy Star IV project with pygame. For graphics and design, I rely on GIMP to create visuals that enhance user experiences. I manage my projects with GitHub, ensuring efficient collaboration and version control. My skill set includes proficiency in HTML and CSS for building responsive and engaging websites, expertise in Git for source control, and Bash scripting to automate tasks and streamline workflows. Together, these tools and skills empower me to create high-quality web applications that effectively meet user needs.
